APPLICATION & DUTY

Where MKTBBZ fits

MKTBBZ is an automatic medium-voltage reactive-power compensation arrangement using switched capacitor groups. It follows reactive demand through a selected stepping scheme. Capacitor capacity, reactors and protection must be coordinated with the network and its harmonic conditions.

Construction & operating functions

MKTBBZProduct illustration · Configuration varies by specification
DETAIL / 01

Grouped capacitor switching

Capacitor groups are switched in stages rather than treated as one undivided bank. Stage allocation affects the available compensation steps.

DETAIL / 02

Reactive-power control

The controller selects switching according to the agreed control objective and measured system condition. Settings must be coordinated with the installation.

DETAIL / 03

Reactor coordination

Reactors are selected with regard to switching inrush and the network harmonic environment. Their specification requires system information rather than a generic percentage assumption.

DETAIL / 04

Protection arrangement

Bank connection and protection functions must match the selected capacitor arrangement. The required protection scheme belongs in the technical schedule.
