APPLICATION & DUTY

Where MKM65-12 fits

MKM65 is an indoor vacuum circuit-breaker arrangement using embedded poles. The vacuum interrupter and principal conducting components are incorporated within the insulating pole construction. Fixed and withdrawable applications require matching electrical ratings, operating functions and mechanical interfaces.

DETAIL / 01

Embedded pole construction

The insulating pole uses epoxy embedding around the interrupter and associated conducting components. Pole construction is a defining feature of this series.

DETAIL / 02

Vacuum switching function

Interruption occurs in the vacuum interrupter. Required breaking duty and operating sequence must match the selected rating.

DETAIL / 03

Operating and control arrangement

The operating mechanism is selected with the trip, close and auxiliary circuits. Available control-supply variants must be matched to the installation.

DETAIL / 04

Fixed and withdrawable applications

Mounting arrangement and terminal interfaces differ between assemblies. Similar voltage or current ratings do not establish interchangeability with another breaker series.

Installation & connection checklist

  • Submit pole pitch, terminals and mounting dimensions.
  • Provide the secondary plug and interlock information.
  • Identify any existing breaker variant and nameplate.
  • Use the agreed mechanical and electrical schedule to confirm the replacement.
Operating conditions for the listed configuration
  • Indoor installation; altitude up to 2,000 m.
  • Ambient −15 to +40 °C; relative humidity below 95%.
  • Installation free of dripping water, severe contamination, chemical corrosion and severe vibration.

State any different ambient temperature, altitude, humidity, dust, salt or corrosive exposure when requesting the installation-specific configuration.
