ZW20 is an outdoor vacuum circuit breaker with a sealed enclosure arrangement using SF6 insulation. Vacuum interruption and enclosure insulation perform different functions in this design. The selected mechanism, controller and protection arrangement determine the complete operating scope.

For urban, rural and industrial overhead distribution duties.

For installations requiring controller-based protection and, where specified, reclosing or remote monitoring.

The current-interruption function uses vacuum interrupters; the sealed enclosure uses SF6 for insulation. These functions should be identified correctly in the equipment specification.
The enclosure and connection arrangement are selected for the outdoor installation. Site conditions and required environmental performance should be stated.
The described design uses a spring operating mechanism. Operating supply and secondary functions must match the installation control scheme.
Protection, communication and reclosing functions require the selected controller and settings. They are not implied by the breaker designation alone.
Match the installation drawing, cable routes, clearances and electrical duty for the selected equipment.
