APPLICATION & DUTY

Where MKW1 fits

MKW1 is an air circuit-breaker series for low-voltage distribution. Frame selection, current rating and the electronic protection arrangement are chosen for the installation duty. Pole configuration, operating mechanism and communication options must be included in the selection rather than inferred from the series name.

DETAIL / 01

Frame and current selection

Different frames cover different current ranges. The selected current and installation duty should be checked within the actual frame configuration.

DETAIL / 02

Electronic protection functions

Overload, short-circuit and other protection functions depend on the selected controller. Required settings and coordination should be defined in the protection schedule.

DETAIL / 03

Pole and installation arrangement

Pole configuration and mounting arrangement must suit the network and switchboard. Neutral switching and protection requirements should be stated explicitly.

DETAIL / 04

Auxiliary and communication functions

Remote operation, status contacts and communications are configuration-dependent. Identify the required operating supply and supervisory functions in the enquiry.
