YBMD is a landscape-oriented substation arrangement with the main equipment wholly or partly below ground. It is intended for municipal and residential settings where the above-ground appearance and occupied area matter. Electrical equipment selection and civil-site conditions must be considered together.

For sites where the visible installation is integrated with the surrounding development while retaining equipment access.

For projects considering a partly buried supply installation. The proposal must include drainage, groundwater, ventilation and maintenance arrangements.

The defining feature is the underground or partly underground position of the equipment. Depth, working access and the route for removing major components belong in the site layout.
The above-ground portion is arranged to suit the surroundings. Its appearance should be coordinated with ventilation openings, access doors and operational requirements.
Corrosion-resistant stainless-steel enclosure construction and sealed interfaces are described. The required protection performance must be specified for the actual installed arrangement.
The equipment uses separable terminal connections in the described design. Cable sizes, insulation dimensions and the matching connector arrangement must be selected together.
Match the installation drawing, cable routes, clearances and electrical duty for the selected equipment.
