APPLICATION & DUTY

Where SC(B)12 fits

SC(B)12 is a three-phase epoxy-resin cast transformer for building and infrastructure distribution. Its winding insulation and reinforced cast structure are combined with capacity-specific electrical data. Procurement should identify the required voltage combination, vector group, impedance and installation arrangement in addition to the SC(B)12 series name.

DETAIL / 01

Cast-resin winding insulation

The winding insulation uses an epoxy-resin casting process. Resin mixing and vacuum degassing prepare the mixture before casting, helping the insulation surround the winding and fill the spaces within the assembly.

DETAIL / 02

Reinforced winding construction

Reinforcing insulation materials are incorporated within the cast winding structure. The filled resin and reinforcement form a coordinated mechanical assembly around the winding; required short-circuit and insulation test documents should be specified for the selected design.

DETAIL / 03

Low-voltage winding selection

A foil-type low-voltage winding is an option identified in the series designation. Confirm the actual winding construction with the selected capacity, voltage combination and technical schedule.

DETAIL / 04

Performance by selected rating

The 30–2,500 kVA table identifies current and loss values for each rating. At 630 kVA, two impedance arrangements are listed; larger entries use the corresponding 6% configuration.

DETAIL / 05

Specify the core construction

This page covers the conventional SC(B)12 series. The three-dimensional wound-core version has a separate product page and performance table, so the core construction should be stated in quotations and repeat orders.
