APPLICATION & DUTY
Where SC(B)-NX2 fits
SC(B)-NX2 combines resin-encapsulated windings with a dedicated distribution-transformer loss schedule. It serves building and infrastructure projects requiring a dry-type arrangement. Capacity, voltage, winding connection and impedance are selected as a complete configuration, with auxiliary equipment specified around the installation.

DETAIL / 01
Cast-resin winding insulation
The winding insulation uses an epoxy-resin casting process. Resin mixing and vacuum degassing prepare the mixture before casting, helping the insulation surround the winding and fill the spaces within the assembly.

Reinforced winding construction
Reinforcing insulation materials are incorporated within the cast winding structure. The filled resin and reinforcement form a coordinated mechanical assembly around the winding; required short-circuit and insulation test documents should be specified for the selected design.

Low-voltage winding selection
A foil-type low-voltage winding is an option identified in the series designation. Confirm the actual winding construction with the selected capacity, voltage combination and technical schedule.

Dedicated NX2 performance table
NX2 has its own no-load and load-loss figures over the listed capacity range. These values provide a better comparison basis than assuming that all cast-resin series have the same losses.

Two 630 kVA configurations
The table lists 630 kVA at 4% and 6% impedance with different losses. Enquiries should identify the impedance as well as the kVA rating so the intended configuration is clear.
