The SC(B)12 three-dimensional wound-core transformer combines resin-cast windings with a continuous wound magnetic-core structure. It is intended for building and infrastructure distribution where a dry-type transformer is specified. The wound-core construction is a defining part of the product and should be included in the enquiry and order description.

For commercial centres, hospitals, hotels and high-rise buildings. Selection should consider the electrical load together with the transformer-room footprint, ventilation and required noise limits.

For airports, stations, tunnels and metro-related distribution. Include the available delivery route, cable/busbar interfaces and space for inspection and maintenance.

For coordinated transformer-and-distribution assemblies. Match the transformer envelope and connections with the enclosure and switchgear layout.

The three-dimensional core uses wound silicon-steel material rather than a conventional stacked-core arrangement. Its continuous magnetic path is a central construction feature; the actual no-load loss is identified by the selected rating in the table.
The core construction uses circular cross-sections. The associated winding and support arrangement should be considered as a complete assembly when reviewing dimensions, lifting access and replacement suitability.
Resin is mixed and degassed before casting around the windings. The resulting cast body provides winding insulation, while reinforcing materials within the resin structure contribute to mechanical integrity.
Reinforcing insulation is incorporated around the cast winding structure. Electrical rating, insulation requirements and the specified test programme must be agreed for the delivered configuration.
The table contains 11 ratings from 250 to 2,500 kVA. The 250–500 kVA entries use 4% impedance, while the 630–2,500 kVA entries use 6%. Both the core version and the impedance belong in the technical schedule.

Match the selected transformer to the room layout, terminal arrangement, cooling clearances and approved drawings.
