APPLICATION & DUTY

Where GGD fits

GGD is fixed-type low-voltage switchgear for power and lighting distribution. Switching and protective devices are mounted in a cabinet arrangement selected around the feeder schedule. It is suited to projects that require fixed circuits with clearly defined access, connections and maintenance provisions.

PRODUCT ENGINEERING

Construction & operating functions

GGD product illustration
GGDProduct illustration · Configuration varies by specification
DETAIL / 01

Cold-formed steel framework

The cabinet uses an 8MF cold-formed steel structure with partly welded assembly. Modular mounting positions support the internal electrical layout.

DETAIL / 02

Fixed circuit construction

Power circuits and installed switching devices remain fixed in their mounting arrangement. Equipment access and isolation requirements should therefore be planned with the switchroom design.

DETAIL / 03

Removable access components

Removable doors and top covers assist assembly and access to the busbar area. Door grounding connections form part of the cabinet arrangement.

DETAIL / 04

Compensation coordination

Where reactive-power compensation is required, identify the associated compensation section in the line-up and coordinate its bus connection and protective devices.

SPECIFICATION & INTEGRATIONReview equipment installation

Match the installation drawing, cable routes, clearances and electrical duty for the selected equipment.

Illustrative working scene
Electrical duty
Provide the circuit schedule, bus rating and required fault withstand.
Devices and metering
Specify switching devices, trip functions, metering and outgoing protection.
Enclosure requirements
Define access, cable entry, finish and the required enclosure protection for the site.

Installation & connection checklist

  • Confirm cabinet dimensions and line-up connection positions.
  • Provide cable or busduct termination drawings.
  • State required access and isolation arrangements for maintenance.
  • Agree the actual configured rating rather than assuming one maximum applies to every GGD variant.
Operating conditions for the listed configuration
  • Indoor installation; altitude up to 2,000 m.
  • Ambient −5 to +40 °C; 24-hour average up to +35 °C.
  • Relative humidity up to 50% at +40 °C; higher humidity at lower temperatures requires consideration of condensation.

State any different ambient temperature, altitude, humidity, dust, salt or corrosive exposure when requesting the installation-specific configuration.
