APPLICATION & DUTY

Where SC(B)13 fits

SC(B)13 is a resin-cast dry-type transformer series for building load centres and infrastructure distribution. Its capacity-specific loss schedule allows procurement teams to compare electrical performance at the chosen rating. The final selection also includes the voltage combination, vector group, impedance, connection arrangement and installation environment.

Construction & operating functions

DETAIL / 01

Cast-resin winding insulation

The winding insulation uses an epoxy-resin casting process. Resin mixing and vacuum degassing prepare the mixture before casting, helping the insulation surround the winding and fill the spaces within the assembly.

DETAIL / 02

Reinforced winding construction

Reinforcing insulation materials are incorporated within the cast winding structure. The filled resin and reinforcement form a coordinated mechanical assembly around the winding; required short-circuit and insulation test documents should be specified for the selected design.

DETAIL / 03

Low-voltage winding selection

A foil-type low-voltage winding is an option identified in the series designation. Confirm the actual winding construction with the selected capacity, voltage combination and technical schedule.

DETAIL / 04

Series-specific loss schedule

No-load loss and load loss are shown separately from no-load current. Use the SC(B)13 data for the required rating when comparing offers and specify the reference temperature in the technical schedule.

DETAIL / 05

Impedance options at the same capacity

The two 630 kVA rows represent different impedance configurations. Capacity alone therefore does not define an identical unit; the row-based enquiry retains both capacity and impedance.

DETAIL / 06

Configuration continuity for repeat supply

Keep the voltage combination, vector group, impedance and auxiliary requirements with the approved drawing. This makes a repeated order more precise than ordering by SC(B)13 and kVA alone.
