APPLICATION & DUTY

Where SCBH15 / SCBH16 fits

This amorphous-core dry-type family is intended for distribution close to building and industrial loads. The core material, winding insulation construction and thermal class are important selection distinctions. Define these together with the required rating so that the correct series and technical schedule can be matched to the enquiry.

DETAIL / 01

Amorphous-alloy strip core

The magnetic core is formed from amorphous-alloy strip. Three-phase core arrangements are described for the family, with the exact assembly selected as part of the transformer design.

DETAIL / 02

Copper-foil low-voltage winding

The low-voltage construction uses copper-foil winding. Its electrical rating and physical connection arrangement must be matched with the selected transformer capacity.

DETAIL / 03

Insulation construction matters

Cast-resin and impregnated winding constructions are described across the family. The enquiry should identify which construction and thermal class are required, rather than treating all variants as one interchangeable design.

DETAIL / 04

Thermal class and loss reference

B, F and H loss columns relate to different reference temperatures. A load-loss comparison should therefore identify the insulation class and reference temperature along with the capacity.
