APPLICATION & DUTY

Where SC(B)-NX1 fits

SC(B)-NX1 is a three-phase cast-resin transformer for distributing power close to building and infrastructure loads. Selection combines the required capacity with the primary and secondary voltages, winding connection, impedance and loss limits. The NX1 designation identifies this performance series; the actual operating requirement is defined by the selected rating.

DETAIL / 01

Cast-resin winding insulation

The winding insulation uses an epoxy-resin casting process. Resin mixing and vacuum degassing prepare the mixture before casting, helping the insulation surround the winding and fill the spaces within the assembly.

DETAIL / 02

Reinforced winding construction

Reinforcing insulation materials are incorporated within the cast winding structure. The filled resin and reinforcement form a coordinated mechanical assembly around the winding; required short-circuit and insulation test documents should be specified for the selected design.

DETAIL / 03

Low-voltage winding selection

A foil-type low-voltage winding is an option identified in the series designation. Confirm the actual winding construction with the selected capacity, voltage combination and technical schedule.

DETAIL / 04

Rating-specific loss selection

The table covers 30–2,500 kVA and separates no-load loss, load loss and no-load current. Comparing these quantities at the same capacity and impedance helps purchasers define a consistent technical basis for quotations.

DETAIL / 05

Capacity and impedance together

The 630 kVA entries have different impedance and loss combinations. Identify the required row when enquiring, rather than specifying capacity alone; the surrounding distribution design determines the appropriate impedance.
